Research Department of Energy Saving Technologies of CSEI Carried out Tests for Boilers Used in High Altitude Area to Help Enterprises Save Energy and Reduce Consumption

Since the beginning of this year, in order to meet the requirements of SAMR to support the economic and social development of Qinghai Tibetan Autonomous Region, and fulfill the relevant requirements of the cooperation agreement with Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Qinghai Province on jointly building  an  energy efficiency testing laboratory in high altitude area(Qinghai), Research Department of Energy Saving Technologies of CSEI, Qinghai Technology Center and Qinghai Special Equipment Inspection Institute has set up an Energy Efficiency Emission Test Working Group for Boilers Used in High Altitude Area, , then they carry out boiler energy efficiency and emission test in Qinghai Province.

By the end of March, the testing of 20 coal-fired industrial boilers, 67 gas-fired industrial boilers and 2 power station boilers in total has been completed. Through the tests, such problems as insufficient output of some boilers, high exhaust gas temperature, high concentration of carbon monoxide in the flue gas, and low thermal efficiency level were found. The causes of above problems are unreasonable selection of combustion equipment and fan, unreasonable design of furnace and heating surface, and maintenance issues, etc. The test working group actively strengthened the communication with user units, highly publicized the relevant laws, regulations and policies on energy conservation and consumption reduction and emission reduction, properly guided the enterprises to carry out energy conservation and emission reduction work, conscientiously implemented the working principle of "Changing while measuring, changing by measurement". They helped the enterprise optimize the boiler operation plan based on the test data to effectively ensure the fuel burning out during the operation, which significantly reduced the fuel consumption and NOX emission in flue gas and reaped better social and environmental benefits with low operation cost and high economic efficiency, winning fully recognition and praise of enterprises.
