During Oct. 30th to Nov. 1st, the 11th Annual Meeting of Chinese Society of NDT & the 23rd China-International Quality Control and Testing Industrial Equipments Exhibition was held in Shanghai. More than 400 people including experts and practitioners of the NDT field from China, Japan, Korea and Germany joined the meeting. The chairman of Chinese Society of NDT & vice president of CSEI Shen Gongtian, vice chairman & secretary-general of Chinese Society of NDT Lu Daming, president of Shanghai Research Institute of Materials Zhu Dexiang and the representatives of NDT field attended the meeting and gave speeches.

In the meeting, Shen Gongtian was re-appointed as the chairman of Chinese Society of NDT and made an invited conference presentation. The 3rd award ceremony of Chinese Society of NDT was held during the meeting. Shen Gongtian won the Outstanding Achievement Award, Ding Keqin and Hu Bin of CSEI won the Special Contribution Award, Wu Zhanwen won the Youth Science and Technology Prize, Zhang Junjiao won the prize of Outstanding Worker. About 200 papers were collected and more than 150 papers were presented. 8 papers of CSEI about acoustic emission, electromagnet testing and stress measurement were presented at the meeting.
