From Nov. 22 to Nov. 25, the 2016 special equipment safety and energy saving academic conference & science and technology exhibition with a theme on “leaded by science and technology, development by innovation driven”, which was co-organized by Special Equipment Safety and Energy Saving Professional Technical Committee, AQSIQ and Special Equipment Science and Technology Collaboration Platform, was successfully held in Xiamen, Fujian Province.  

Sun Chengyong, deputy director of Department of Social Development of Ministry of Science and Technology; Wang Yuewei, deputy director of Department of Science & Technology of AQSIQ; Sui Fabo, deputy surveyer of SESA, Liu Shaowen, chief engineer of Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision of Fujian; Lin Shuqing, director of Special Equipment Science and Technology Collaboration Platform & president of CSEI attended and addressed the opening ceremony. The meeting was chaired by Shen Gongtian, deputy director of Special Equipment Science and Technology Collaboration Platform & vice president of CSEI. More than 400 relevant scientific and technical workers attended the conference.   

More than 50 exhibitors attended the science and technology exhibition. The contents of exhibition includes research results of national key instrument projects, “the 12th Five-Year Plan” national science-technology support plan projects, technological achievements of more than 20 special equipment testing and inspection agencies represented by CSEI and new product and new instrument of more than 30 companies related to special equipment. Material Research and Evaluation Center of CSEI exhibited 3 material performance testing equipments with independent intellectual property rights: hydraulic testing system which could conduct micro-damage sample and mechanical properties test for in-service device; lateral expansion optical measurement system for metal impact fracture sample standardization measurement and pressure difference method gas permeability tester for curing graphite tube. Lin Shuqing showed visitors the stand of CSEI during the exhibition, introduced characteristics technology of material performance measurement, the relevant leader highly commented the research value and potential applications of our new techniques and new equipments.
