2014 National Special Equipment Safety and Energy-saving Science & Technology Week which was jointly launched by AQSIQ technology committee and Special Equipment Technology Cooperation Platform was hold in Dongguan city, Guangdong province between November 19th and 25th of 2014. Chen Gang , AQSIQ vice Minister, He Yu, Vice-Mayor of Dongguan, Ren Xiaotie, Director of Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Guangdong Province, June Ling, Deputy Executive Director of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Charles Withers, Executive Assistant Director of National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI), Wang Yuewei, Deputy Director-general of Department of Science and Technology of AQSIQ, and Lin Shuqing, President of China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Insititute (CSEI) attended this event. Song Jihong, Director-general of Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau of AQSIQ hosted the opening ceremony.
It received about 300 academic papers from over 70 organizations in this Science & Technology Week, about 60 organs participated the technology achievements show, and more than 500 domestic/foreign experts, scholars and technicians attended this event.
