The United Nations Industries Developing Organization (UNIDO) and GEF Project Office held a meeting about project implementing issues in Beijing on November 21st for pushing the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Project named “Promoting Energy Efficiency in Industrial Heat Systems and High Energy-Consuming Equipment”. The related representatives from Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau of AQSIQ and experts from CSEI attended this meeting.

Mrs. Bettina Schreck from UNIDO introduced implementation matters and procedures of project during this meeting, two parties discussed project initiating issues and made arrangements in detail for next stage. This meeting emblemized the project officially moves to implementing stage, which was significant to improve inspection approaches of Chinese high energy-consuming equipment, and enhance the social awareness of energy saving.
