On May. 28th, 2014, Mr. Lin Shuqing, President of CSEI , Mr. Shou Binan, Vice President and Chief Engineer of CSEI met Vice Secretary-general of ASME Ms. June Ling and her delegation in Shanghai.

Mr. Christian Sanna, Project Manager of the department of Nuclear Power Standards and Asian Affairs Liaison of ASME, Mr. Zhang Qiang, Chief Representative of ASME China Office, Mr. Yan Jinquan, Vice President and Chief Engineer of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute attended the symposium during the meeting. Related representatives from Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Equipment Co., LTD, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group Suzhou Thermal Research Institute co., LTD, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, China Nuclear Power Technology Research Institute and State Nuclear Power Plant Service Company, and related staff of Research & Development Division of CSEI took part in the symposium. 

As Chairman of China International Working Group of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section II (Materials), Mr. Shou Binan discussed the development, problems and direction of ASME International Working Group with Ms. June Ling, together with principals of China International Working Group of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III (Rules for Construction of Nuclear Facility Components) and Section XI(Rules for Inservice Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant Components) at the meeting. Delegates agreed that all the world’s ASME International Working Group (including German, Italy, India, Korea, etc.) should enhance their relations and cooperation, in addition to discuss all kinds of technical problems about Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, the technical and standard of conformity assessment also should be a part of the working scope of the Working Group.
