During July 14th to 18th, the 13th pressure vessel and pipe international meeting hosted by ASME opened in Paris of France with the theme of New Horizons in Global Pressure Vessel and Piping Technology. The experts and scholars came from nearly 40 countries of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, America and Oceania attended the conference, in which 197 report meetings were organized and 750 papers were collected.
CSEI’s vice president Jia Guodong attended the conference with the 7-person delegation, and chaired the parallel session The Latest Development of China’s Standards and Specifications.
There are 7 papers of CSEI being chosen and read out in the meeting. Through listening to the reports and communicating with the domestic and overseas experts, CSEI’s delegation made a further understanding in several aspects, such as the development tendency of international specifications and standers for pressure vessel and pipe, the research hotspots and latest development of pressure vessel and pipe in design, manufacture, inspection, nondestructive testing (NDT), safety evaluation and integrity management, the application of finite element modeling in pressure vessel and piping analyze, as well as Europe’s latest research results in structural safety.
