CSEI Representatives Participated in the 12th International Structural Health Monitoring Seminar

The 12th International Structural Health Monitoring Seminar was held at Stanford University from September 9th to 14, 2019. Representatives from 20 countries and regions of America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania participated in this seminar, which included 1 main venue and 75 parallel sessions. 9 subject reports and more than 370 special reports were organized, and 423 academic papers were included in the seminar. CSEI’s Deputy President Shen Gongtian, Researcher Ding Keqin, Zhang Junjiao, Zhang Jiwang, and Liu Guansi attended the seminar. Ding Keqin organized and hosted a special venue.

The seminar covered sensors, multi-functional materials and structures, signal processing, structural reliability, data-driven health diagnosis and trend prediction, artificial intelligence and many other disciplines, and brought together top structural health monitoring experts and scholars from around the world. It provided a broad platform for research result presenting and discussion on leading edge issues in the international structural health monitoring.

This seminar enhanced the understanding of CSEI’s scientific and technical personnel on the research condition and the latest achievements in the field of international structural health monitoring, and broadened their international perspectives and research ideas. Through the special report, CSEI’s status in the international structural health monitoring has been improved, which has laid a solid foundation for the in-depth cooperation between CSEI and the international structural health monitoring teams.
