A delegation headed by Jia Guodong, deputy director-general of Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau of AQSIQ attended the ASME 2015 Pressure Vessel and Piping Conference (ASME PVP 2015), which was hosted by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in Boston of USA between July 17 and 23. Representatives from CSEI also attended the conference.
CSEI’s representative Mr. Shi Jin presented 11 academic papers including Remaining Life Estimation of Ethylene Cracking Furnace Tubes under Interaction of Carburization and Creep, and Tube Trailer Cylinders Toque Calculation Methods, and communicated and exchanged with International attendances for those research achievements. Jia Guodong and CSEI’s senior engineer Li Xiang hosted ASEM PVP China panel sessions with the theme of “Chinese Standard and Codes Latest Progress-Acoustic Emission Technology Applied in Structural Integrity Management” (CS-11-3).
ASME PVP Conference holds annually which is the top level international symposium in pressure vessel and piping fields. This meeting attracted over 800 representatives from 40 countries, set up 190 panel sessions and presented 650 academic reports. Attendees communicated and discussed the latest progress of pressure vessel and piping related codes, computer technology, design & analysis, fluid- structure interaction, high pressure technology, non-destructive examination, materials & fabrication, pressure vessel operation & maintenance, and seismic engineering based on the theme of “New Frontiers in Pressure Vessels and Piping”.
