On the morning of August 23, a delegation headed by Mr. Thomas Costabile, the executive director and CEO of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) came to China Special Equipment Inspection & Research Institute (CSEI) for a friendly visit. The leaders of the Bureau of Special Equipment Safety Supervision (SESA) of State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), China Promotion Association for Special Equipment Safety and Energy-saving(CPASE) and China Association of Special Equipment Inspection(CASEI) participated in this meeting. President Liu Sanjiang and vice president Li Jun of CSEI received the visitors.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed and discussed issues including standardization, conformity assessment, energy efficiency evaluation, academic exchanges and bilateral visits, and exchanged views on further strengthening mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. ASME and CSEI have a long history of friendly cooperation, and this visit has a positive significance to further deepen cooperation and enhance mutual trust in the future.
