CSEI and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspection (NB) signed “2011 Version NB Inspection Standard Chinese Translation Cooperation Agreement” in the afternoon of November 11. NB Executive Director Mr. David Douin, Chairman of Board of Directors Mr. Jack Given, CSEI President Mr. Lin Shuqing, Vice-president Mr. Shen Gongtian, President’s Senior Consultant Mr. Qin Pingyan, and some pertinent personnel presented at the signing ceremony.

The two sides made joint consultation on the training of Authorized Inspector Supervisor (AIS) and Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA) of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and continuous strengthening the communication and cooperation between Chinese and American governmental safety supervisor and inspection in the field of boiler, pressure vessel, and pressure pipeline.

Both sides agreed that this agreement signing will help the domestic user to take advantage of NBIC standard conveniently, enhance China’s tracking for overseas advanced standards, and encourage technical progress and economic and trade development.
