| CSEI has been devoting itself to the research & inspection of boiler, pressure vessel, pressure piping and special equipment.
With advanced technologies of NDE, intensity analysis, safety assessment, failure analysis, CSEI is the sole national inspection and research institute and top authority for this industry in China.
In the past twenty years, over 50 national or  ministry level key R&D projects have been completed by CSEI itself or jointly with nation-wide partners. In addition, CSEI participated in the formulation and revision of more than 9 national standards. Some breakthrough have been made in NDE, acoustic emission examination and monitoring, numeral stress analysis, defect evaluation, failure analysis, comprehensive safety evaluation, inspection management and information technique, etc.
